Notes:

History  - This week we will study about the Greek Philosophers, learn about Nehemiah's return to Jerusalem, and learn about Alexander the Great.

Literature

This week we will finish the book!!  We will read chapter 16 and 17

Report and Project for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe will be due on March 4th. The project should be one of the following:

1. A decorated two-sided model of the Wardrobe and Narnia. 

2. A cardboard model of Cair Paravel, with Aslan's coat of arms flying.

3. A 3 dimensional diorama, representing your favorite scene from the book  .

More information and a rubric will follow at a later time.

ELA:  There will be a Grammar Test on Tuesday the 9th. It will be over sentences 32,34,36,38, and 40.

Spelling Tic –Tac- Toe  Week 23

Complete three activities following the rules of tic-tac-toe (three in a row.) Make an “X” on each box that you complete. All activities are due on Friday. Staple all three activities to this sheet.

Spelling Words: persuade, assembling .core, quest, insulted, convicted, vile, stead, skirling, giddy, slacking, prodigious, bay, revelry, lurking, quarry, consorts, simple extraordinary, confused    

Create and color a cartoon strip using at least 7 of the spelling words	Make a table sorting each spelling word according to parts of speech. Example: Dog – noun Run - verb	4 Square words Choose 7 words to complete 4 square words
Write questions for 10 words, and write statements for 10 words. Underline or highlight the words	Pendulum Words Write the words Forward, then backwards, then forward again.	Write the words in reverse ABC order
Create fractions to represent the number of vowels and consonants in each word. Multiply the two numerators together to get the value of the word. Example: friend Vowels =2/6 Consonants = 4/6 2 x 4= 8	Write the spelling words in the form of shapes. You can use more than one word to make a shape.	Roll & Spell Roll a di and then write the words in the following colors 1=red           4=green 2 = orange   5=blue 3= yellow    6=purple
