ELA - Week of October 12th -16th

Hope everyone has a great day off on Monday the 12th ---- Columbus Day!!

ELA -This week we will learn about conjunctions. There are 7 that they will need to memorize.
Test will be on Friday for these 7 words.

Spelling and Vocabulary Words

Week 9 – October 12^th-16th

1. lugged – dragged with great effort

2. scampered  -  to  run quickly

3. protection – prevent someone or something from

                        harm

4. adventure – an exciting or unusual experience

5. polished – made smooth & glossy

6. stowaway – a person who hides aboard a ship or

                          or airplane in order to get free

                         transportation   

7. dashed – run in a great hurry

8. heaved – lift with great effort

9. aloft – up in or into the air

10. particular – relating to a single person or thing

                           different, to tell apart

 The spelling list is glued in their notebook. Words will be written 3 times each every night Monday-Thursday. The other activities are in addition to writing the words.

Due by Friday:
Write a story using 7 spelling words. Make 4-square words with the other 3 words.
